About the Company
Based in LA, Heat Dance was founded on the belief that people are happier and healthier when they have rich experiences in movement and sensory input (ie. Dance). Heat provides an interactive dance community and education platform online, inspired by the immersive dance experiences we deliver daily in our state-of-the-art studios—part dance class, part exercise, part immersive theatre; our goal is to create a happier, healthier society through dance and technology.
Heat Dance is currently seeking a WordPress/Web Development intern to join our technology and design departments who is self-motivated and has a passion for entertainment, web development, and entrepreneurship. Our ideal candidate is someone who has experience building webpages, is familiar with Amazon Web Services, and has used WordPress extensively.
Our intern will work with the Technology team to manage the Heat Dance website and Heat Online video portal and play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of our online presence. Our intern will learn the ins and outs of WordPress plug-ins, Google Analytics, AWS, SEO, and Visual Composer page design and become adept at managing e-commerce and high-traffic web portals. You will work under the supervision of a senior web developer, but the role will be mainly independent and requires the interns to take ownership in their projects.
