On Saturday, June 15, 2019, HEAT DANCE hosted an 80s Aerobics Night at their new studio in Hollywood. Guests were invited into the beautiful space, where they were met with a totally rad set by DJ Dimitri Green. Once everyone had arrived, the evening kicked off with CEO Brett Bennett thanking everyone for coming to HEAT’s first ever event. She then introduced two of Heat’s dancers who performed a surprise routine, in keeping with the theme, to “Whip It” by Devo. The crowd cheered them on as they got everyone ready to break a sweat.
From there, the aerobics class began in one of HEAT’s brand new dance studios. Instructors Trevor Kent, Shana May Jackson, and Nicole Flores, lead the class through an hour-long routine set to classic 80s tunes such as “Maniac” by Michael Sambello, “I Wanna Dance with Somebody” by Whitney Houston, and “Nasty Girl” by Vanity 6. One guest, Natalie, recalls, “I was sweating like crazy! It was definitely a great work out.” The instructors certainly got everyone up and moving with their high-energy, beginner-friendly moves. “I brought the whole family! Even my sister’s 18 year old boyfriend was dancing!” exclaimed Leora, an intern at HEAT DANCE. Dancers of all ages and skill-levels were welcomed, as they are in every class that HEAT offers.
After everyone had finished dancing their hearts out, guests were encouraged to enjoy cocktails from the open bar, as well as fresh-fruit, vegetables, and healthy wraps to recharge from the class. The night ended with good cheer, as guests had their photos taken to commemorate HEAT’s first event.
HEAT DANCE now offers a variety of dance classes such as: Salsa Fusion, Ballet, Jazz, and Contemporary. Make sure to reserve your spot at : https://heatdancecompany.com/schedule/.
